What is Insulcap®?

Insulcap® is an extraordinarily versatile thermal insulation material. Insulcap® is the thermal insulation material that can provide the solution to many packaging problems like temperature storage etc. Insulcap® has up to seven layers laminated walls that can provide the ultimate solution to all your storage, warehousing and packaging needs.

The metallic outer layered surface can repel up to 98% of sunlight (radiant heat). Heat alone causes the most problems with various products (up to 93% of all problems). Heat can cause your product to expand, contract, sweat, release moisture, obtain or release odours, produce container rain, reduce shelf life, alter the appearance (changes colours, dulls the product)  and even potentially risk the health and safety of your valuable customer. Insulcap® encapsulates elements of the environment to provide the unique properties of both insulation and moisture control. 

Insulcap® is particularly effective during the transport logistical system where there is no personal control and temperature management over your goods and products. When there are unexpected breaks in the transport logistics system, this is where most damage can occur. It has been demonstrated that rapid heating of thermal pallet covers of goods while in uncontrollable environments to the point where the goods are too hot to touch.

The Insulcap® material has been tested in accordance with the Australian Wool and Textiles Association (AWTA) who is both NATA and ISO accredited, the TOG value and Water Vapour Transmission have been tested. Please select on the appropriate links to view results.

Convective heat is the heat that we feel all around us. Insulcap® works as a convector. This means that external temperature has minimal effects on your products when using Insulcap®.  For example, when products are packed in Insulcap® in a chilled environment, the product will be maintained at desired temperatures.
